Solopongo is a simple, single-player Pong-like built with Pico-8. Solopongo is Part I of an introduction to game development course I'm offering for kids at my local makerspace and in private tutoring sessions. The course material connected to this example introduces basic programming concepts like functions, variables, and inequalities.

This is a game I use to teach kids <15 how to code in <60 mins, so adjust your expectations about depth/complexity accordingly ;)

Please donate or purchase the .p8 file below! I use any proceeds to help support my efforts to teach school kids how to make video games  while introducing key concepts in math and computer science.

HOW TO PLAY:

1. Move the paddle with <-- and -->

2.  Bounce the ball against the paddle to score points.
